Le Bougainville is a luxury Ponant cruise ship. She sleeps 184 guests and is the third in the Explorer series of ships when she was launched in 2019. The origin of her name stems from the famous French explorer Louis-Antoine de Bougainville, who discovered Bougainville Island in Papua New Guinea in 1768.

As far as cruise destinations, Le Bougainville offers an exciting choice of Mediterranean sailings in the summer before she then crosses the Indian Ocean in the winter.
